I’ve had a chat with Free Radical’s chancellor WelshWolf
(this took place in the last days before the end of era 3)

Hi WW nice to finally have this chat.
First of all, congratulations on winning the era before this one, era 2. It
was a pretty close fight in the end and you came out on top.

Anything you wanna say in regards to winning era 2?
We won as a team; everybody contributed to the best of their
ability. It was really fun to see how everybody tried to help their mates as best they could.

What was your over all strategy in era 2?
Most important was to have fun! We did want to win, but not at
any cost. So mostly what I said before, just help your mates.
We had some pretty funny cv chats many a night.

What different roles did FR have in the CV?
Well of course the chancelor, archmage and warlord, but mostly
it was pretty much a free for all. If someone discovered a technique
or knew how to do something they would share it with the other radicals.
We just always tried to help each other.

Can you give the other player’s some hints on do’s and don’ts
if they want to make it to the top?
Hmm tough question as we all still have a lot to learn. I guess
I would stress the need to have fun and be respectful of the other
players. Ask questions when you don't know something, but make sure
you have read the FAQ and make some effort yourself. Players don't
mind helping as long as they aren't asked the FAQ questions over and
over again.

How did you plan era 3, did you do anything differently?
Nope. Not really, we changed up a bit in terms of who was more or
less active, but that just happened. We stuck to the basic idea of
helping your mates whenever possible.

This era looks to be yet another close race until the last minute;
will you once again come out on top?
Drat, broke my crystal ball, so can't say for sure of course. We
would like to win, but it makes the game a lot more fun for everyone
if it is a close competition. So best of luck to everyone.

You have had the chance to look at the Era 4 content.Any first thoughts?
Well only managed to log in a few days but from what I tested in there
era 4 looks like it is going to be great. The Quest content I personally
think will be a huge positive for the game.

What are your expectations on next era?
Well to start with we will have one position for sure available based on
us getting let down by one player bad. So with some luck we will find
someone who is good with PvP or end up with me trying a bit myself.
As far as expectations go I think we now know what is needed to win and
will try our hearts out to do it again. Also we would like to gain high
places if not top spots in forging/weaving/sorcery if we can so that is
another thing we will aim for next era.

Will FR once again be the CV to beat?
Well I am sure many Chancellor out there would love to get all members
working together for the good of thier CV. So at some point a CV will
start doing like us and work well as a team. Of course unless they got
massive gnosis gainers like Jetlag, Ryamika and dooney they will find it
hard. I have to say I am so thankful of the friends I now have in FR as
those who have stuck with us to name but a few since era 2 :Jetlag, Ryamika,
Dooney, MonkeyMafia and Marchosias I think without these great players FR
would not be the CV it is today. Of course we had a few new member this era
and they did incredibly well too. Two i should give mention to is Kazaglis & drubar.
So we will be doing as before and we will see if a CV really wants to beat us next era.

Any strategy changes before next era?
Not really I guess dont fix it if it is not broken kind on mentality for us.
We have all shown we work well and can achieve the results so unless the
quests present a needed change of tac we will continue with how we are.

Any new roles assigned?
Well so far we assign the archmage to people on long periods of time for
others who may want to PvP as in to free up land. But warlord as always in FR
goes to who ever has best BR so that will stay the same.

Any particular strategy for world bosses and or CV quests?
Well the way I do things is simple. If I have the ability to put out full
troops I take 1 Melee, 4 ranged, two support. The Idea behind this is simple.
If your melee has a high threat then lead them in to gain mobs attacking
melee units. With this happening your ranged(hopefully with good gear in)
can dispose of the mob/s with relative ease. I suppose most people have thier own
way of doing missions and maybe my way is not everyones. I could give more
but then I would be giving away our big secrets in how we get so high in gnosis lol.


Best DL memory so far?
The last 3 or 4 hours of era 2 were a blast. Most of our cv was
online and we were all madly trying to get as much gnosis as
possible. For me the era ended at 4am making it very difficult to
get up in the morning. Didn't know if we had won or not until the
next day.
