Well today those on the game had to endure constant walls of text spamming in our main chat with nothing done by the moderator online Stratege. What was going on, well for about a half hour (still going on so not sure how long it will continue) the chat was/is spammed with copy pasta of a script written by people within RIP. Stating that it is RIP News and they will continue to spam our chat with it.

I don't mind livening up the chat as most who know me I am one of the most active in chat. But this wasn't creating chat it was just creating walls of text. They would write a big long paragraph about something hardly any one cares about nor is entertaining in any way and then paste a response to that, that they already had written up then a new paragraph would come up. And on and on it goes.

I asked for them to either move it to convergence chat (since it was only RIP people talking) or to move it to the Pub where non-CV members can go and listen to their script if they want or just post it on the forums so we have a choice in being subjected to the spam. They refused and nothing was done and they still continue. I want to see this sort of stuff moved to the Pub like we did with our hangman game we made though at least that had participation from the "audience".

Yeah RIP do that and they do it to "punish" us, they think their being entertaining, it's their INeffective way of "revenge"

It's annoying, but Strat was probably just AFK, don't blame him, he's a fair guy, even if a little to fair at some points! *Thinks about The cancelled PvP event*

He was there, he didn't say much about it other then that he thinks main chat is dead otherwise so he prefers it. I personally don't find main chat to be dead, at times it can be quite slow but usually when I am online it is pretty lively. And I wouldn't mind other forms of spam that encourage others to socialize to liven up the chat but this wasn't doing that at all, the only time it livened up the chat at all was when the complaints started.

Of course the passages were just copied/ pasted. I took me almost 6h to write this crap. How do you think it is possible to come up with so much in so little time?

Let's put it in a nutshell. Our CV wasted several hours to eventually give some people a good time and have fun during the creative process. We spamed "your" mainchat for approx. half an hour with stuff that all had actual relation to the events during the last few weeks. Let's keep in mind that the mainchait mainly is empyt or populated by topics like "my last diner" or "my cat smells".

You can always shut us up quiet easily. But you have to beat us in a battle of wits. Just come up with a better idea.

To smaller your confusion Timilion, let me point out some major ideas about RIP. We are not aboud gnosis, br, gear or medals.
We don't state how great we are, we invent commandments.
We're not proud about our achievments, we rather present DL News.
We're not interessted in many wins. We fight to the end and make videos of it for other ppl to enjoy.

Now, there are two options
#1.) "We spamed the main chat today thus keeping many, many ppl from playing!"
or
#2.) "You just have a problem with us!"

#1.) Put our entire CV on ignore. Ask players that had to endure us for several eras like Dummerchen, Shadowscythe or Theolora. Ignoring us is the only way. We never shut up. Ever!
#2.) Take your place in the long line of our natural enemies.

PS.: All this stuff went under my supervision, so don't blame other players or mods. Just write a PM to Meahyus and I will attend to all your needs.

PPS.: No offense Stratege, I don't think you need to be protected. But nobody steels my pray *g

No we don't want to be entertaining. We intend to be annoying. And the best thing is: As long as it keeps bugging players like Adversary, Shadowscythe, Rudolfo, SinisteRing, ... we are doing our job perfectly fine.

Obviously it is due to you guys spamming main chat that is why I am posting this and it was clearly not just me annoyed by it. It wasn't keeping people from playing but keeping people from being able to use main chat while it was going on. I never had a problem with RIP previous to this.

Having to ignore a whole CV shouldn't be needed, especially if that many people are having to do it. This means there is more of a problem here that should be moderated. It is quite simple just don't post this sort of spam in the main chat use the pub's island chat or just simply post it on the forums where we can avoid it easily. I am sure good moderators will come and recognize your "News" as being spam and tell your CV to spam it somewhere else.

1.) No, you're "spaming" the forum with it. Which is in contrast to the chat a permanent record and might as well influence more players since it is reachable 24/7.
2.) He is a mod alright. But I'm still not certain if this spam was so blatant that a mod really needed to interfer. I'm mainly hearing you complaining.

That's the idea of an interview. Since we created this one I think it is not surpsrising that it's been members of our CV for all parts of this show. We gave you several occasions to interfer so just prepare yourself for the next time.

We've monitored the mainchat for approx. 30 min before we started posting and there was no conversation besides "hello" & "good night". If we posted our program elsewhere ppl could have complained there as well. You just wanted us away from your place.

In this case, I guess it is RIP's mainchat as well. We blocked it for merely an hour. I think that amount of time is appropriate for an entire CV.

If you are interessted in determinating how many ppl enjoy and how many ppl hate our performances be my guest. For you this may be spam but for me this was work of art. We intentionally posted all our entries in complex comments to make it easier to ignore so regular conversation was still possible. I don't expect ppl to like what we are doing and there will be always critics but most ppl have enough sense of humour or tolerance to let others express themselves in the way they like to. And besides. Would I have wasted 6h of my life just to spam mainchat? That task can be done much quicker.

I don't state that everybody loved it. But nobody makes such a scene as you do. What are you suggesting. Banning an entire CV for using main chat for some time for something you consider spam. Something we did for several eras. We always been like that and there always been adversaries (lovely pun) and I have the feeling you're just another one.
