I know you will ALL love this suggestion
+ I'm sure it takes very little coding time! 1) In the quests tab, make an "info" button. when you click on it, on the right side of the page, it shows the total items required for ALL uncompleted quests AND all the excess items in the vault (except sorcery crafting items) where: excess items = total items - items required for ALL uncompleted quests (except sorcery crafting items) edit: a "needed" items column would be nice too making all of these substraction by hand takes a bit of time.. 2) And a second "info" button: showing all the sorcery items needed to craft items to complete ALL uncompleted quests AND all the excess sorcery items in the vault where: excess items = total sorcery integrient/formulas items - sorcery integrient/formulas to craft sorcery items required to complete ALL uncompleted quests edit: a "needed" items column would be nice too making all of these substraction by hand takes a bit of time.. Now tell me, how much do you like this suggestion? a) you love it b) you adore it c) you can't live away from it

i like it, but i wouldnt go as far as putting all tiers of quests being shown under needed, i would show 1 at a time or at least if they are to be shown at the same time spit them up so then they are easier to read/understand

A grouping of items needed under each tier would solve the problem of cluttering
The only thing needed for all tiers is the radiand ball thing and the resources.. those can be split under the different tiers too for the ammounts needed for each tier.. Or, even better, "check" which tiers you want to be shown as needed and those you want to be shown as excess materials (last Tier excess materials by default lol) |

Imo it should only show activated quests that have yet to be completed
- it's easy enough to do simple subtraction for the rest if needed and it avoids cluttering |

not easy enough if you have players of high level that donate high value materials but you have only activated/completed low Tier quests..
eg1 you have a high value material in vault, you think that you are going to complete only x quests that need this high value material, those x quests are not yet activated yet since you "owe" the previous Tier, you have enough of this materal for one quests, you don't know about the other. If you want to return some of this material to players to use or sell (eg orbs) you have to find the total ammount of this material that all of the x quests require, find the total ammount of this material in the vault, do the substraction Result: you skip the fuss and you don't return anything back! eg2. you have a high value material in your inventory that more than one quest requires, and this quest is not activated because you "owe" the previous Tier, but you have enough of this material to complete one quest, you just don't know about the other. If you want to donate the proper ammount in the vault, you add the materials of this quest, you find how many there are in the vault, do the substraction, donate the ammount required and keep the rest for yourself to use or sell. Result: you skip the fuss and you donate all of the materials that you have (or don't donate anything until all of the quests that the vault has materials for are activated). It was a headache only describing it!!!

I don't really get it... why would you be working on higher tiers if you can't finish lower tiers? No point in gathering the materials without being able to complete the quest, unless you have other people working on wrapping up the lower level tiers.
And I'm sure people of all ages can do basic subtraction if they really want to farm for a quest ahead of time. |

ofcourse, that's what I meant.. I imagine in most CVs, there are two "Tier" members.. so the "high" Tiers start gathering the high Tier materials before the low lvl members gather the materials for the lower lvl quests..
The problem is not in the math, the problem is that I need to open 2 windows, and search for the relevant data 5-10 min to see what we need and what not.. and just because the whole process is very boring and tedious the vault remains cluttered with valuable things that the members could use or sell, that I could send to them if I was sure we didn't need those materials for quests. Also if I have a nice drop I have to do the math again to determine if I should store it in the vault for a quest or just use/sell it. and if I need to do that every once in a while, it becomes a real pain in the... |
